Athletics Stadium, Jablonec nad Nisou
The Athletics Stadium in Jablonec is called the Střelnice, i.e., the "ShootingRange", not only because it is used by the local FK Jablonec football club: the place was actually used as a shooting range in the 19th Centrury, with a football pitch or a jumping ramp added later. The facility also includes an indoor athletics hall. Nevertheless, the stadium was slowly becoming derelict with no funds available for repairs. In 2001 the entire complex was transferred to the municipality which funded its general refurbishment, incl. the athletics fields. The refurbishment was complete in 2004. The complex currently offers a 400 meter oval track with eight polyurethane tracks. The stadium also features full-size jumping fields, a throwing field and a shot put field. The outdoor stadium seats 1,200 visitors. An indoor athletics hall that can be used in case of unfavorable weather conditions is located right next to the main stadium.
The facility is run by Sport Jablonec nad Nisou s. r. o.
The second world games for athletes with an intellectual disability ended by closing ceremony most of which was filled by the last medal and award ceremonies.
